WELCOME

WELCOME!

So . . ., you've finally found the perfect place, lots of storage, nice size rooms, all the extra amenities. But, then you're told "no painting and no making holes in the walls"! You feel all your decorating plans going out the window. What can you do to make the space your own.

Well don't despair. There are many ways to get around the restrictions and limitations and I am here to share the ways I've overcome them over the past 18yrs.

I hope you enjoy my tips and will also share your own. I'll also be sharing some of my on going projects. Once again . . .
WELCOME!!!

Frugal Treasures Features!

Hello! Hope everyone had a great weekend.  I'm enjoying my vacation in Portland,OR and spending time with my family and friends.  We're still awaiting the arrival of the new grandbaby; any day now!   Let you know when she gets here. : -)

Of course I've already done some shopping.  But in my defense, I didn't bring warm enough clothes thus I had to do some local frugal shopping! -_^  LOL!  That's my story and I'm sticking to it. : )
These finds are from 2 different stores, a thrift and Ross!
Pretty good haul, don't you think?  I fell in love with the texture and colors of the little purse.

I've been looking for a small crystal vase like this for my dresser, can you believe $.98 cents!  And yes those are porcelain pulls in the pic.  I found them at Ross for half off!  They only had one set but there are many stores here in the Portland area so I'll be checking them for more.
There was a lady in the thrift store who walked up to me with this blouse and asked if I liked it.  She said that she thought the color would look nice on me!  Wow such a nice gesture!  Of course I loved it, just my style and taste and only $4.98!  Plus it still had the tags on it from Dress Barn!
I bet about now you're probably thinking, hey Bee, what happened to the warm clothing?  Well, I did find me 2 beautiful cardigan sweaters at the thrift, but haven't taken pics of them yet.  Something for the next post. : )

Now as I mentioned in a earlier post, there won't be a Frugal Treasures Party this week.  But I have went through the links to choose the features from last weeks party.  As usual, you all never seize to amaze me with your creative skills:
The 2 links which received the most clicks goes to Woven Home for her beautiful bedroom reveal . . .

and also Biljana Shabby for her shabby chic chairs!

Crazy Thrifty Crafts shared her great scores on her travel bargain hunting!

I love the this quaint watering can makeover by Shabby For Sure.

For a look of vintage style take a look at Joann's vintage scarf collection and how she uses them over at Woman In Real Life.

So that's it for this week.  There's been some severe thunderstorms but the weather was dry and warmer today!  I plan on going antique shopping later this week.  Hope you all have a great week!
